Complete these steps in order to clear a DS3XM AIS-V alarm:
Determine which port is affected (for example, node ID, slot number, port number, or virtual tributary [VT] number).
Create a one-way VT circuit from the affected port back to itself. Give the circuit an easily recognizable name.
For example, Node 1 > Slot 2 > Port 2 > VT 13 cross-connected to Node 1 > Slot 2 > Port 2 > VT 13.
Go to Card View for the DS3XM card.
Click Maintenance, and then click the DS1 tab.
Locate the VT in alarm (for example, DS3 #2 or DS1 #13).
Select Facility (line) under the Loopback Type, and then click Apply.
Click Circuits.
Locate and select the one-way circuit you created in step 2.
Click Delete.
Click Yes in the Delete Confirmation box.
Go to the Card View for the DS3XM card.
Click Maintenance, and then click the DS1 tab.
Locate the VT in Facility (line) Loopback.
Select None under the Loopback Type.
Click Apply.
Click on Alarms, and verify that the AIS-V alarms are clear.
Repeat these steps for all the AIS-V alarms on the DS3XM cards.
