Introduction

To prevent conflicts between the AMP for Endpoints Connector and antivirus or other security software, you must create exclusions so that your antivirus doesn’t scan the AMP for Endpoints Connector directory.

AMP for Endpoints Windows Connector Exclusions in Windows Defender

Via Windows Defender Security Center:

  1. Go to the "Virus & threat protection section".
  2. Select "Virus & threat protection settings".
  3. Select "Add or remove exclusions".
  4. Select "Add an exclusion" and select "Folder".
  5. Navigate to "C:\Program Files\Cisco\AMP" and choose "Select Folder".
