Bias-Free Language

The documentation set for this product strives to use bias-free language.     Introduction

    This document describes the release details of the AMP Private Cloud 2.4 release.

    AMP Private Cloud 2.4 Release Details

    AMP Private Cloud v2.4 includes a new AMP Cloud protocol which allows you to bring more features to the AMP platform. New installs of AMP Private Cloud v2.4 and later as it automatically uses the new protocol. Installs that already exists when upgraded to AMP Private Cloud v2.4 continues to use the old protocol but a migration wizard is provided in the administration console that allows you to migrate to the new AMP Cloud protocol.

    It is recommend that all AMP Private Cloud administrators migrate to the new AMP Cloud protocol. The newly added AMP for Endpoints Linux Connector and latest versions of the AMP for Endpoints Windows and Mac Connectors with new features are only supported on AMP Private Cloud servers that runs the new AMP Cloud protocol.

    Older versions of the AMP for Endpoints Windows and Mac Connectors do not support the new AMP Cloud protocol. You must upgrade any current AMP for Endpoints Mac Connector v1.3 and AMP for Endpoints Windows Connector v5.0 or greater after you run the migration wizard. It is always recommended to upgrade to the latest available version of all AMP for Endpoint Connectors.

    Note: In order to continue with the use of the TETRA engine, you must migrate to the new AMP Cloud protocol and upgrade to AMP for Endpoints Windows Connector v5.1.11 by October 31, 2017.
