Introduction

This document describes how to change the IP address of a Secure Cloud Analytics ONA sensor.

Question: How do i change the IP address on my Secure Cloud Analytics ONA sensor

Answer:

  • Log into the ONA Sensor CLI
  • Make a backup of the file in /etc/netplan/[file_name].yml 
    • sudo cp /etc/netplan/[file_name].yml /opt/obsrvbl-ona/[file_name].yml.bak
  • Use nano or vi to edit the netplan yml configuration file 
    • "sudo nano [file_name].yml"
    • Update the IP address and Gateway and save the yml file. 
  • Reapply the newly updated netplan configuration
    • sudo netplan apply
