Transferring calls on the Cisco IP Phone with Multiplatform Firmware allows you to easily transfer active calls to another contact in two different ways:
Option 1 - You can stay on the line and wait for the other person to answer the transferred call.
Option 2 - You can completely transfer the call without speaking or waiting for the other person to answer.
Step 1. While the call is active on your phone, press the Transfer button. This will automatically put the active call on hold.
Step 2. Dial the phone number of the contact where you want the call to be transferred. Then press Call.
Note: In this example, the call will be transferred to 53669.
Step 3. Wait for the call to be answered.
Step 4. (Optional) When the call is answered, you have the option to go back to the original caller to speak to them before transferring the call. You can go back and forth as you wish. Use the navigation cluster up or down button to toggle between the two calls and then press the Resume softkey. This will activate the chosen call and automatically place the other call on hold.
Step 5. Press the Transfer button again to completely transfer the call.
Step 1. While the call is active on your Cisco IP Phone with Multiplatform Firmware, press the Transfer button. This will automatically put the active call on hold.
