Monitor the Fan Status on 200/300 Series Managed Switches

Objective

It is important to keep the physical circuits of the switch at optimal temperatures. Therefore the fans are used to cool the processor of the switch.

The article explains how to monitor the status of the fans of the 200 and 300 Series Managed Switches.

Fan Status

Step 1. Log in to the web configuration utility and choose Status and Statistics > Health. The Health page opens:

The Fan Status field displays the current condition of the fans.

• OK — The fan operates ideally.

• Faulty — There is a problem with the fan.
