Call Waiting Setup via Starcode on the Cisco SPA300 Series IP Phone

Objective

Call waiting feature allows the user to know if another call is ringing on the phone when the user is on a call. If the call waiting feature is turned off, then the incoming call does not ring the phone when the user is on a call and the caller hears a busy signal or a message.

This document explains how to activate or deactivate call waiting feature on the Cisco SPA 300 series IP Phone.

Call Wait Setup

Using star code

Step 1. To activate call waiting, enter *56.

Step 2. To deactivate call waiting, enter *57.

Using star code to activate or deactivate call waiting for a specific call

Step 1. Dial *71 followed by the phone number to activate call waiting for that call.

Step 2. Dial *72 followed by the phone number to deactivate call waiting for that call.
