Configure Network Startup Delay on SPA 300 and 500 IP Phones

Objectives

The network startup delay enables a short wait time before the phone connects to the network. This allows time for computers and other devices to connect to the network before the phones can make or accept calls.  The default value for the network startup delay is 3 seconds. 

The objective of this document is to show you how to enable the Network Startup Delay on the SPA 300 and 500 series IP phones.

Applicable Devices

• SPA 300 series
• SPA 500 series

Configure Network Startup Delay

Step 1. Press the Setup icon.

Step 2. Navigate to Settings and press Select using the soft-key.

Step 3. Navigate to Network Configuration.

Step 4. Navigate to Enable Network Startup Delay.

Note: Press **# to unlock or lock certain edit options on the phone.

Step 5. Press Edit to change the Network Startup Delay time.

Step 6. Press Clear to clear the current setting and input the new wait time. Press << to clear one number at a time.

Step 7. Press OK to save the changes.
