This document outlines the procedures to change various NAT settings on the SPA8000 device.
Step 1. Click Admin Login at the phone configuration utility to increase the number of pages and settings that you can change.
Step 2. Click Advanced at the top right corner of the page.
Step 3. Choose Voice > L1. This directs you to the L1 Settings page.
Step 4. In the L1 page scroll down to the NAT Settings parameter.
Step 5. NAT Mapping Enable — This option is enabled to use externally mapped IP addresses and SIP/RTP ports in SIP messages. Select yes to enable the parameter or select no to disable it. No is selected by default.
Step 6. NAT Keep Alive Enable — This option is enabled to send the configured NAT keep alive message periodically. Select yes to enable the parameter or select no to disable it. No is selected by default.
Step 7. NAT Keep Alive Msg — In this parameter enter the keep alive message that should be sent periodically to maintain the current NAT mapping. It is set as $NOTIFY by default which will send a NOTIFY message.
Step 8. NAT Keep Alive Dest — This parameter assigns a destination that should receive NAT keep alive messages. It is set as $PROXY by default which will send the messages to the current or outbound proxy.
Step 9. Click Submit All Changes.
