A MAC address is a 12-digit code assigned to a unique piece of hardware for network identification purposes. Usually it is required to have the MAC addresses of your devices registered with your ISP for security reasons. If you previously registered your account with another MAC address, it may be convenient to assign that MAC address to your current device. The MAC Address Clone feature helps you avoid the re-registration of MAC addresses by assigning the current MAC address to the device.
This article explains how to configure MAC Address Clone feature on the SPA100 Series.

Step 1. Log in to the web configuration utility and choose Network Setup > Advanced Settings > MAC Address Clone. The MAC Address Clone page opens:
Step 2. Click the Enabled radio button in the MAC Clone field to enable the MAC Clone feature. The default is Disabled.
Step 3. Enter the MAC address that you want to assign to your ATA (Analog Telephone Adapters) in the MAC Address field.
Note: If the MAC address of your computer is the address that you previously registered for your ISP account, click Clone Your PC's MAC. The MAC address of your computer appears in the MAC address field.
Step 4. Click Submit to save the setting changes, or click Cancel to abandon any unsaved entries.
