The System Settings help to configure information that is used to identify the WAP device in the network.
This document explains the basic system settings configuration for the Cisco WAP121 and WAP321 access points.

Step 1. Log in to the web configuration utility and choose Administration > System Settings. The System Settings page opens:
Step 2. Enter a host name for the device in the Host Name field. This is the name of the WAP device which is assigned only by the administrator. The host name is used to identify a device in the network. The host name can have alphanumeric characters and hyphens, but it should not start with the hyphens. The default host name is "WAPX", where X is the last 3 digits of the MAC address of the WAP.
Step 3. Enter the contact information for the access point in the System Contact field, such as an e-mail address or phone number of the person to be contacted with regards to issues related to the access point. The user contact details can be up to 255 alphanumeric and symbols characters, other than the double quote.
Step 4. Enter the location or area where the access point resides in the System Location field. Based on the system location it will be easy to identify the device in the network. The name can be up to 255 alphanumeric and symbols characters, other than the double quote.
Step 5. Click Save to save the settings.
