Introduction
This document describes how to return a Clous Services Platform (CSP) 2100 to a default state. Also, it will help you clear all configuration metadata, upgrade/downgrade without preserving data, return the system to factory defaults, or to recover from a corrupted system disk.
Initialize a CSP2100 to Factory Defaults
By default the CSP2100 automatically restores last working config after reinstall. Additional steps are required to clear this configuration.
Tasks that do not clear the existing configurations are
- Using Fast INIT on Large Scale Integration (LSI) controller.
- Same type of Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) volume being destroyed and recreated.
Both of these items will result in the inability of a user to login with the default username / password or a previously configured username / password.
Reinstallation Steps
Warning: By following this procedure all data including VNFs / VMs will be lost.
1. Mount the csp-2100.iso image downloaded from cisco.com.
2. At the time of system post press F6 to select a boot device.
3. Select vKVM-Mapped vDVD.
3. When the boot menu appears, select Troubleshooting.
4. Select Clean Installation of CSP-2100.
5. The installation lasts for 15 minutes and then the system will automatically reboot. After the wizard completes, the default username / password is admin / admin.
