A. In order for the VCS to show times based on the local time zone, you must:
Configure the VCS with details of an NTP server (System Configuration > NTP > NTP Server)
Set the local time zone on the VCS (System Configuration > NTP > Time zone)
The NTP server provides the VCS with UTC time. The VCS then takes the UTC time and offsets it by the number of hours specified by the selected time zone to make the local time. Once set, the VCS will use the local time zone throughout the web UI and to set the timestamp that appears at the start of each line in the Event Log.
If you do not configure the VCS with details of an NTP server, it will show times based on its operating system.
