This article relates to the Cisco TelePresence Video Communication Server Expressway and Cisco TelePresence Management Suite products.
A. The TMS Agent uses the following ports:
Port 389: locally on both the TMS and all VCSs
Port 8787: locally on both the TMS and all VCSs
Port 4444: the administrative port for the TMS Agent used between all replicating partners to accomplish things such as a change of password, initial replication to VCS (for example, authentication). The traffic' exchanged on this port is encrypted
Port 8989: the replicating port used between all replicating partners. The traffic' exchanged on this port is not encrypted in releases up to and including TMS 12.5. Traffic' exchanged on this port is encrypted in TMS 12.6.
Both port 4444 and 8989 are used during initial replication setup: port 4444 for the administrative functions, and port 8989 for the data.
