Overview
Several products from Cisco are going through a transition to a newer version of Marvell CPU. The products from the Industrial IoT space are moving from CPU revision A0 to revision B0.
With this transition, there will be some older versions of Cisco IOS XE that will not support the new B0 CPU. This release note will show details on how to determine what version of CPU you have, and the supported software images.
Identifying Your CPU Revision
There are two ways to determine what version of CPU your product is running on:
-
Visual examination of the product label
-
Through the command line interface
To check for your revision of CPU using the product label, look for the VID which starts with a "V". The following example is from an IR1101:
The V03 label indicates that this product has the B0 CPU. See the Platform Matrix for the VID for each product updated with the B0 revision CPU.
To check for your version of CPU using the CLI, use the show inventory command.
