Hay una diferencia clave entre NCS6K y la plataforma IOS-XR tradicional: NCS6K utiliza la tecnología de virtualización para crear el sistema. Hay una red Ethernet de control para conectar RPs y LCs. El tráfico del plano de control entre RP y LC pasará a través de esta red Ethernet de control. Dado que se trata de un entorno de virtualización, ¿cómo se entregan estos paquetes a una VM específica y cómo la NIC (NIC) en RP o LC sabe que un paquete está destinado a ellos?
En pocas palabras, las VLAN se utilizan para diferenciar el tráfico de diferentes VM y este proceso se realiza mediante NIC. La figura 2 muestra cómo la NIC entregará el tráfico de VLAN 3074 a la VM IOS-XR y el tráfico de VLAN 3073 a la VM de administración.

También puede utilizar el comando "show_netio_fwder_stats -g" de KornShell (ksh) para comprobar si aumenta o no el contador de inyección/punt.
Nota: En el entorno de producción, puede haber otro tráfico en segundo plano que dificulte comprobar si los paquetes ping alcanzaron o no este componente. Como solución alternativa, puede utilizar un gran número de paquetes con tiempo de espera 0 : "ping x.x.x.x count 10000 time 0" y verifique si el contador se incrementa repentinamente o tiene un pico.

eth-vf1.514 se utiliza para la comunicación con la interfaz Mgmter pero no puede ver la dirección IPv4. La interfaz Mgmther en la VM XR depende de la pila IP de IOS-XR en lugar de la pila IP en Linux.
éter-vf1.3073 se utiliza para la comunicación con la VM administrativa.
eher-vf1.3074 se utiliza para el tráfico del plano de control relacionado con XR VM. El paquete de prueba Ping pasará a través de esta subinterfaz (usando la pila de protocolo de red Linux).
Tcpdump asociado con Linux tiene muchas opciones sobre cómo vaciar tráfico interesante. Además, puede utilizar las herramientas tcpdump para detectar el tráfico del plano de control del router de dominio seguro (SDR) (vlan 3074) o detectar otro tráfico como la comunicación entre procesos (IPC) en vlan 3073.
