Una característica importante del dispositivo de seguridad Cisco Email Security Appliance (ESA) son sus funciones de registro. AsyncOS en ESA puede generar muchos tipos de registros, registrando diversos tipos de información. Los archivos de registro contienen los registros de las operaciones regulares y las excepciones de varios componentes del sistema. Esta información puede ser valiosa durante la supervisión de Cisco ESA, así como durante la resolución de un problema o la comprobación del rendimiento.
Los registros se pueden configurar y crear desde la CLI mediante el comando "logconfig" o a través de la GUI en 'Administración del sistema' > 'Suscripciones de registro' > 'Agregar suscripción de registro...'
