Este documento muestra cómo configurar un escenario de Virtual Private Dialup Network (VPDN) de Layer 2 Tunnel Protocol (L2TP) usando atributos de túnel descargados de un servidor RADIUS. En este ejemplo, el L2TP Access Concentrator (LAC) recibe la conexión entrante y entra en contacto con el servidor RADIUS LAC. El servidor RADIUS busca los atributos del túnel para el dominio del usuario (por ejemplo, cisco.com) y pasa los atributos del túnel al LAC. Según estos atributos, el LAC inicia un túnel con el Servidor de Red L2TP (LNS). Una vez que se establece el túnel, el LNS autentica al usuario final usando su propio servidor RADIUS.

En el área Configuración de red, configure la autenticación del Servidor de acceso a la red (NAS) LAC para utilizar RADIUS (Cisco IOS/PIX).
Configure el usuario 'rtp.cisco.com' con la contraseña cisco para plain y CHAP. Este es el nombre de usuario que se utiliza para los atributos del túnel.
Haga clic en el botón Configuración de grupo en la barra de navegación izquierda. Seleccione el grupo al que pertenece el usuario y haga clic en Editar configuración. Desplácese hacia abajo hasta la sección IETF RADIUS y seleccione Attribute 6 Service-Type as Outbound. .
Si no aparecen todas las opciones activables, vaya a Interface Configuration y marque las diversas casillas para que aparezcan en el área de grupo.
En la sección Cisco IOS/PIX RADIUS attributes en la parte inferior, marque la casilla 009\001 cisco-av-pair, y escriba esto en la casilla:

Complete estos pasos:
Configure el ID de usuario janedoe@rtp.cisco.com e ingrese cualquier contraseña para plain y CHAP.
Haga clic en el botón Group Setup en la barra izquierda. Seleccione el grupo al que pertenece el usuario y haga clic en Editar configuración.
En la sección de Atributos RADIUS del Grupo de trabajo de ingeniería de Internet (IETF), seleccione Service-type (atributo 6) = Framed y Framed-Protocol (atributo 7)=PPP en el menú desplegable.
Nota: También debe hacer clic en la casilla de verificación situada junto a los atributos Service-Type y Framed-Protocol seleccionados.
Nota: Los servidores Livingston y Merit se deben modificar con frecuencia para admitir pares AV específicos del proveedor.
