Introducción
Este documento describe cómo restablecer los dispositivos de hardware de Cisco Secure Email Gateway (SEG) o Secure Web Appliance (SWA), si utiliza el método de autenticación enablediag.
Prerequisites

- SEG AsyncOS 14.2.2 o versiones posteriores
- SWA AsyncOS 14.5.1-08 o versiones posteriores
La información que contiene este documento se creó a partir de los dispositivos en un ambiente de laboratorio específico. Problema
No se puede acceder al SEG/SWA a través de la interfaz de usuario web o la red si se produce un error en una actualización o si los servicios se dañan, lo que deja a la RMA como única opción. La nueva función del SEG/SWA permite un restablecimiento completo del dispositivo a los parámetros de fábrica, lo que evita la necesidad de realizar una RMA del dispositivo.
Solución
SEG/SWA y la contraseña de administrador en la mano, acceda al dispositivo a través de la consola o de la sesión de terminal Ethernet.

Los comandos disponibles incluyen la nueva opción, resetappliance
La opción resetappliance genera una lista de opciones de versión anteriores que se deben seleccionar.
Una vez seleccionado, el dispositivo borra todos los parámetros predeterminados del sistema, incluida la eliminación de los parámetros de IP de red.
El resultado final produce un SEG/SWA limpio y sin configurar listo para la configuración.

This command will revert the appliance to a previous version of AsyncOS.
Warning: Reverting the appliance is extremely destructive.
The following data will be destroyed in the process and should be backed up:
- current system configuration file
- all log files
- all reporting data (including saved scheduled and archived reports)
- any custom end user notification pages
- current network settings
Reverting the device will cause a reboot to take place.
After rebooting, the appliance reinitializes itself and reboots
again to the desired version, with default system configuration.

- all log files
- all databases (including messages in Virus Outbreak and Policy quarantines)
- all reporting data (including saved scheduled reports)
- all message tracking data
- all IronPort Spam Quarantine message and end-user safelist/blocklist data
Before running this command, be sure you have:
- saved the configuration file of this appliance (with passwords unmasked)
- exported the IronPort Spam Quarantine safelist/blocklist database
to another machine (if applicable)
- waited for the mail queue to empty
Reverting the device causes an immediate reboot to take place.
After rebooting, the appliance reinitializes itself and reboots
again to the desired version.
