La secuencia de arranque del PRE tiene estos pasos distintos:
Cargue el ayudante de arranque.
c10k-eboot-mz.120-16.6.ST1
Esto no soporta ninguna tarjeta de línea; sólo se puede utilizar la interfaz Fast Ethernet (FE) en PRE.
Cargue la imagen principal.

Cada uno de estos tipos de tarjetas de línea sondea la PRE para el firmware:

La secuencia de arranque de la tarjeta de línea RF tiene estos pasos distintos:
El monitor ROM (ROMmon) carga el asistente de arranque en la tarjeta de línea.
La ayuda de inicialización envía el número de versión del software y el tipo de tarjeta.
El PRE descarga la imagen que corresponde al tipo de tarjeta.
La imagen de Cisco IOS Software se descomprime y se ejecuta.
La interfaz de Barium se configura para que los datos puedan pasar al PRE.

El ayudante de inicialización continúa enviando el número de versión del software y el tipo de tarjeta como señal de mantenimiento. Si el microcódigo se actualiza en PRE, se descarga el nuevo microcódigo y la actualización se realiza automáticamente.

La tarjeta de línea solicita el registro usando el número de versión del software y el tipo de tarjeta.
El PRE descarga la imagen que corresponde al tipo de tarjeta.
La imagen de Cisco IOS Software se descomprime y se ejecuta.
