In questo documento viene spiegato come distinguere se un riavvio o un arresto è stato eseguito dal dispositivo o dal sistema operativo (OS).
Quando si determina il motivo del riavvio o dell'arresto di un server, è necessario considerare diversi percorsi di log validi. Quando si esegue una ricerca nel supporto tecnico di Cisco Integrated Management Controller (CIMC), esaminare i registri /var/log/messages o Onboard Failure Logging (OBFL).

Il riavvio può essere previsto o imprevisto. Quando è previsto un riavvio, è possibile che non tutte le parti interessate se lo aspettino. È importante disporre di un processo di controllo delle modifiche per qualsiasi attività di manutenzione di riavvio o arresto, in modo da garantire che tutti siano a conoscenza dell'azione.
Si tratta di un evento di riavvio o arresto che è stato avviato intenzionalmente da un utente, un processo o uno script. Questa operazione può essere avviata in diversi modi. Questi snippet di registro possono aiutare a identificare lo scenario di riavvio che si è verificato, in modo da poter individuare chi o cosa ha intrapreso l'azione:
Si tratta di un riavvio non pianificato o previsto, ma che può comunque essere previsto dalla persona o dal processo che ha avviato l'azione. È inoltre possibile che si sia verificato un guasto hardware, ad esempio un guasto alla PSU o un'interruzione dell'alimentazione nel centro dati. Queste possono essere avviate in diversi modi.
Se si determina che è stato premuto il pulsante del pannello anteriore, è possibile individuare gli utenti che avevano accesso fisico al centro dati al momento del riavvio. Se si tratta di un problema di alimentazione, rivolgersi al team del centro dati per verificare se si è verificata un'interruzione dell'alimentazione.
Prima di esaminare i log rilevanti, è necessario generare i log bundle. Utilizzare queste risorse per creare i registri necessari come riferimento per gli esempi di output riportati nel presente documento:
