The Cisco ATA 190 Series Analog Telephone Adapters are standards-based communications devices that turn traditional telephone and fax communications devices into IP devices. They are managed from your IP network. These adapters address the needs of customers who connect to enterprise networks, small offices, or voice-over-IP (VoIP) services from the cloud.

Features and Capabilities

The Cisco ATA 190 Series helps customers cost-effectively retain their investment in, and to connect, traditional analog telephones, fax machines, analog conference telephones, and other analog devices to IP-based telephony networks.

The adapters are installed at the user’s premises. They support two voice ports, each with its own independent telephone number. They can make use of existing Ethernet LANs, DSLs, fixed wireless deployments, and cable modems.

By turning any analog telephone into an IP telephone, the Cisco ATA 190 Series addresses the needs of “second line” residential VoIP services. Service providers can deploy voice services quickly to grow revenues and facilitate the development of new services.
