ゲートキーパーは、H.323 端末とゲートウェイのアドレス変換および LAN へのアクセス制御を提供する LAN 上の H.323 エンティティです。ゲートキーパーは、H.323 端末とゲートウェイに、帯域幅管理やゲートウェイの配置などのその他のサービスも提供できます。ゲートキーパーは、マルチメディア ネットワークにあるデバイスのレジストリを管理します。これらのデバイスは起動時にゲートキーパーに登録され、コールのアドミッション(受け付け)をゲートキーパーに要求します。
このドキュメントに記載するゲートキーパーの設定は以下の目的で使用できます。

このネットワークは、2 つの Cisco AS5300 ゲートウェイを持つ単純なトポロジです。1 つのゲートウェイは San Jose、もう 1 つは Raleigh にあります。各サイトには、Cisco 3640 で実行されているゲートキーパー設定があります。この項で説明するトポロジでは、実際にはゲートキーパーを使用して 2 つのゲートウェイ間で単純な VoIP コールを確立する必要はありません。図にゲートキーパーを含めているのは、全体の設定内容を示すためです。
このトポロジの Cisco ゲートキーパー設定は、次の点で通常の VoIP 実装と異なります。
ゲートウェイ設定用の各ゲートウェイは、h323-gateway voip interfaceコマンドを使用してローカルゲートキーパーに登録されます。この場合のゲートウェイは AS5300、ゲートキーパーは 3640 です。
dial-peer voice 2 voipコマンドのsession targetは、適切なipv4:IPアドレスの代わりに、登録、アドミッション、およびステータス(RAS)を指定します。RAS は次のタスクを実行します。
ゲートキーパーに登録するゲートウェイの場所を定義する
各コールのアドミッション要求を送信する
コールのステータス情報のポーリングを行う
H.323 ネットワークでは、ゾーンごとにプライマリ ゲートキーパーを 1 つ配置します。ゲートキーパーは、そのゾーン内にある複数のゲートウェイやエンド H.323 デバイスを制御できます。この項で例証する設定では、コールが適切なゾーンとゲートキーパーにルーティングされます。次に、ゲートキーパーは、着信番号に一致するテクノロジープレフィクス(tech-prefix)を持つ登録済みゲートウェイのIPアドレスを使用して、コール要求に応答します。
次の各ステップでは、ゲートキーパー プロセスの機能方法について説明します。Raleigh 側の電話機が San Jose 側の電話機に発信します。
Raleigh 5300A が PBX から 4085556400(San Jose PBX に接続された電話)へのコールを受信する。
この番号はdial-peer voice 2 voipの下の番号と一致して、テクノロジープレフィクスも408#です。
Raleigh 側ゲートキーパー Raleigh 3640A に対するアドミッション要求には、テクノロジー プレフィックスおよび着信者番号が 408#4085556400 の形式で含まれています。
408556400は408のzone prefixコマンドと一致します。...
Raleigh 側ゲートキーパーがロケーション要求を San Jose 側ゲートキーパー San Jose 3640A に送信します。
San Jose 側ゲートキーパーの設定には、テクノロジー プレフィックス 408# で登録された San Jose 5300A が含まれているため、San Jose 側ゲートキーパーは San Jose 5300 の IP アドレス で Raleigh 側ゲートキーパーに応答する。
この IP アドレスがアドミッション確認(ACF)で Raleigh 5300A に転送される。
Raleigh 5300A が San Jose 5300A との通常の H.323 コールをオープンする。
