The two years of operation of the International Center for Digital Transformation & Digital Skills (DT&S) were marked with an event at the pavilion of Cisco in Beyond 4.0 expo in Thessaloniki.
Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic the DT&S has attracted the strong interest of tech-oriented people and has already delivered substantial results. DT&S has completed more than 1,200 training hours for more than 200 persons, participated in more than 15 projects about innovation, hosted more than 150 events, welcoming more than 5,000 visitors and has signed 17 memorandums of cooperation with various third parties.
The event was attended by Minister of Digital Governance Kyriakos Pierrakakis, Deputy Minister of Development & Investments Christos Dimas, Deputy Minister of Interior responsible for Macedonia – Thrace Stavros Kalafatis, Thessaloniki Mayor Konstantinos Zervas, Head of PM’s office in Thessaloniki Maria Antoniou, Cisco Managing Director for Greece, Cyprus & Malta Antonis Tsiboukis, and Cisco Client Executive, Public Sector and Director of the Digital Transformation & Skills Center in Thessaloniki Nikos Lambrogeorgos. The Journalist Maria Samolada was the moderator of the event.
Nikos Lambrogeorgos highlighted the necessity for Cisco to expand its footprint and pointed out some of the important projects that will be implemented in the near future and are expected to promote innovation.
The smart, safe and green hospital of Syros in collaboration with ONEX, and the telecare solutions that will be implemented in the Municipality of Alexandroupolis and the Municipality of Strovolos (Cyprus), in collaboration with HealthSys.
Also, the smart, safe and interactive park in collaboration with the Municipality of Athens, the smart cross in collaboration with the Municipality of Alexandroupolis – EKETA and the remote arts education in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture.
Cisco and the International Center for Digital Transformation and Digital Skills continue to pioneer, create solutions and plan to further projects assisting the digital transformation of the country and the optimization of the everyday life.
