Introduceer Password Protected File Analysis (PPFA)

Inleiding

Dit document beschrijft de nieuwe Password Protected File Analysis (PPFA) die is toegevoegd aan de e-mail security applicatie (ESA) versie 14.x.

Cisco raadt u aan kennis te hebben van de ESA-concepten en -configuratie.

Gebruikte componenten

De informatie in dit document is gebaseerd op AsyncOS voor ESR 14.0 en hoger.

De informatie in dit document is gebaseerd op de apparaten in een specifieke laboratoriumomgeving. Alle apparaten die in dit document worden beschreven, hadden een opgeschoonde (standaard)configuratie. Als uw netwerk live is, moet u zorgen dat u de potentiële impact van elke opdracht begrijpt.

Achtergrondinformatie

Voorheen kon de inhoud van een met een wachtwoord beveiligd document of archiefbijlage zoals PDF, Doc, ZIP enzovoort niet worden geanalyseerd omdat het wachtwoord onbekend was.

Met de introductie van PPFA kunnen e-mails die met een wachtwoord beveiligde bestandsbijlagen bevatten worden geanalyseerd op kwaadwillige activiteit en privacy van gegevens als het wachtwoord aanwezig is in de mail body.

Overwegingen

PPFA is standaard uitgeschakeld.

Bestandsbijlagen met wachtwoordbeveiliging kunnen momenteel alleen worden geanalyseerd als het wachtwoord in de e-mailtekst aanwezig is. De wachtwoorden zijn hoofdlettergevoelig en herkennen geen "ruimte". 

Een lijst met maximaal 5 wachtwoorden die door admin worden geleverd, wordt nu ondersteund.

Configuratiestappen

Grafische gebruikersinterface (GUI)

Om PPFA van GUI te configureren, navigeer je naar de Security Service > Scangedrag > Wereldwijde instellingen bewerken > Scannen van wachtwoordbeschermde bijlagen > ervoor kiezen om inschakelen voor inkomend mailverkeer/uitgaand mailverkeer of Beide >Submit >Commit

Command Line Interface (CLI)

Om PPFA van CLI te configureren voert u de opdracht scanconfig > PROTECTEDATTACHMENTCONFIG > Commit uit

Om het maximale aantal wachtwoorden dat uit de tekst van een e-mail wordt gehaald te verhogen, kan de verborgen opdracht "scanconfig > password_list_size" in CLI worden gebruikt. U kunt maximaal 10 wachtwoorden instellen.

Probleemoplossing en verificatie

In dit voorbeeld, de inhoudsfilter met voorwaarden:

1. bijlageinhoud bevat "test" en
2. als bijlage met een wachtwoord is beveiligd

dan actie is log "!!!!!bestand is wachtwoordbeveiligd!!!!!!!"
