整形隧道必须属于CBR服务类别,因此本示例具有一个CBR VP隧道,该隧道只能包含CBR VC。它用于CES CBR PVC(网络图中标记为VPI1)。 请注意,虚拟路径标识符(VPI)编号对交换机端口具有本地意义,因此您可以在同一台交换机上具有相同的VPI编号,但有两个不同的交换机端口。
由于整形VP隧道不能同时传输多个服务类别的VC,因此CBR VC使用的第一个VP隧道不能用于LANE UBR VC或VBR-nrt PVC。您必须为LANE(使用UBR服务类别VC)创建另一个VP隧道。 因此,第二个VP隧道(在网络图中标记为VPI2)是CBR形VP隧道,仅允许UBR VC通过该隧道。

假设三个CBR VP的峰值信元速率(PCR)为10 Mbps,信元延迟变异容限(CDVT)为500信元。请注意,在同一物理接口上定义的所有VP隧道的PCR总和必须小于物理接口线速的95%(假设物理接口上仅配置了VP隧道)。
对于VBR PVC,PVC的持续细胞率(SCR)必须小于CBR型VP隧道的PCR的95%。换句话说,VBR-nrt的PVC SCR必须小于9.5 Mbps。如果有多个VBR PVC通过CBR隧道,则所有VBR PVC的SCR总和必须小于成形VP隧道的PCR的95%。剩余的5%保留用于信令和其他强制协议。
设备5500-asp-f用于VP交换。服务提供商通常执行此功能。
LANE服务在8540-MSR上定义;LAN仿真客户端(LEC)在8540-MSR和5500-asp-e上定义。
注意:在本示例中,为简单起见,LANE服务放置在ATM交换机上。但是,这并不是LANE服务的最佳位置。LAN仿真服务器(LES)或广播和未知服务器(BUS)的最佳位置在Catalyst 5500的LANE模块上。LEC的理想位置在Cisco 7500系列路由器上。

为确保所有LANE VC都通过正确的VP隧道(换句话说,为防止信令通过主接口发起),在接口atm11/0/1上使用no atm signaling enable命令禁用信令。对8540-MSR执行了相同的操作。
