BGP收敛时间包含许多因素。其中一个是通过配置的路由策略处理入口或出口BGP更新的时间。有多种方法可编写路由策略来执行特定任务。最佳方法有助于改善BGP融合、最小化潜在流量丢包并避免临时路由环路。Cisco IOS® XR包括分析工具,用于测量特定路由策略花费的时间以估计其处理时间。
BGP收敛缓慢有时是以非最佳方式写入路由策略的结果。
