IKEv2中使用的資料包交換過程與IKEv1中使用的資料包交換過程截然不同。使用IKEv1時,有一個由六個資料包組成的明確分界階段1交換,然後是一個由三個資料包組成的階段2交換。IKEv2交換是可變的。
