必須存在從PC到PIX隧道端點的通用路由封裝(GRE)和TCP 1723連線。如果存在被防火牆或訪問清單阻止的可能性,請將PC移動到PIX附近。
Windows 98和Windows 2000 PPTP最容易設定。如有疑問,請嘗試多台PC和作業系統。連線成功後,按一下PC上的Details以顯示有關連線的資訊。例如,您是否使用PAP、CHAP、IP、加密等。
如果您打算使用RADIUS和/或TACACS+,請嘗試首先設定本地(PIX上的使用者名稱和密碼)身份驗證。如果無法正常工作,則使用RADIUS或TACACS+伺服器進行身份驗證無效。
最初,確保PC上的安全設定允許儘可能多的不同身份驗證型別(PAP、CHAP、MS-CHAP),並取消選中Require data encryption框(使其在PIX和PC上均可選)。

從RAS客戶端註銷時,Windows遠端訪問服務(RAS)連線將自動斷開。通過在RAS客戶端上啟用KeepRasConnections登錄檔項,可以保持連線。
