Hard set the port on the switch to which the Cisco 7935 IP Conference Phone connects to 10 Mbps/half-duplex.
Issue these commands to hard set the port on the switch for Catalyst 2900XL and 3500XL products:
configure terminal
interface 0/x
speed 10
duplex half
end
Issue these commands to hard set the port on the switch for Catalyst 4xxx, 5xxx, and 6xxx products:
set port speed x/y 10
set port duplex x/y half
Since the Cisco 7935 IP Conference Phone has no 10/100 port to which to connect a PC as other 7900 Series IP Phones do, the concept of a voice or auxiliary VLAN does not directly apply and can cause problems. Remove references to the voice VLAN or auxiliary VLAN from the port on the switch that the Cisco 7935 connects to, and put that port in the VLAN whose number corresponds with that of the voice VLAN to avoid potential problems.
Issue these commands to remove voice or auxiliary VLAN references for Catalyst 2900XL and 3500XL products:
configure terminal
interface 0/x
switchport access vlan z
no switchport voice vlan z
no switchport mode trunk
no switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
end
Issue these commands to remove voice or auxiliary VLAN references for Catalyst 4xxx, 5xxx, and 6xxx products:
set port auxiliaryvlan x/y none
set vlan z x/y
set trunk x/y off
