Release 7.3 supports enhanced Fibre Channel (FC) and Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) connectivity, and new fabric services for the Cisco MDS 9000 Family of products. It can enable higher scalability, superior reliability, and simpler manageability on Cisco MDS platforms.

Release 7.3 supports 2-, 4-, 8-, 10-, and 16-Gbps Fibre Channel as well as 10-Gigabit and 40-Gigabit FCoE.
