This document provides installation instructions for Unified CCE 12.0(1) ES18. It also contains a list of Unified CCE issues resolved by this engineering special. Review all installation information before installing the product. Failure to install this engineering special as described can result in inconsistent Unified CCE behavior.

Unified CCE 12.0(1) ES18 is mandatory for existing CCE 12.0(1) customers on Windows Server 2012 R2 and SQL Server 2014, who are planning to perform in-line platform upgrade to Windows Server 2016 and SQL Server 2017 (ES18 to be applied post in-line platform upgrade)
CCE 12.0(1) ES18 is not required for CCE 12.0(1) customers on Windows Server 2012 R2 and SQL Server 2014 platform, who are not planning to perform in-line platform upgrade to Windows Server 2016 and SQL Server 2017.
Customers
upgrading from 11.x to 12.0(1) after platform upgrade, do not require
installation of ES18 post 12.0(1) installation. (Platform is upgraded to
Windows Server 2016 and SQL Server 2017 before upgrading CCE to 12.0(1) from
11.x)
This section lists the Unified CCE components on which you can install this engineering special.
You can install Unified CCE 12.0(1) ES18 on these Unified CCE components:
Installation of this patch requires the all ICM services to
be shut down during the entire period of installation. It is always recommended
to install this ES during a scheduled downtime.
1. Using the ICM Service Control, stop all the ICM
services running on the system.
2. If Outbound Options High Availability is enabled, it must be disabled. Please refer the below notes for Procedure to disable Outbound Options High Availability on Side A
3. Upgrade Windows and SQL following Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise Installation and Upgrade Guide, Release 12.0(1).
4. Launch the Installer provided for ES18 and follow
the instructions on the screen.
5. After the restart, enable
Outbound Options High Availability (If Applicable) on Side A and Side B
5. Using the ICM Service Control, start all ICM
services again.
Note:
·
In
Windows Server 2016, Windows Defender might interrupt CCE 12.0(1) ES install.
CCE 12.0(1) ES install can be re-attempted after disabling Windows Defender.

Procedure
to Disable Outbound Options High Availability on Side A
Step
1 Launch Websetup.
Navigate to Component Management >
Loggers.
Step
2 Edit the Logger and navigate to Additional Options. Uncheck Enable High Availability under Outbound Option. Enter the SQL Server
Admin credentials and click Next.
Step
3 Enable Stop and then start(cycle) the Logger
Service for this instance (if it is running) checkbox. Click Next to complete the setup.
Step
4 Repeat
similar steps (steps 1, 2, and 3) for side B.

Self-signed
certificates configured using CiscoCertUtil tool may
be removed as part of Windows upgrade to Windows Server 2016. Certificate can
be re-generated and installed using CiscoCertUtil
tool post Windows Upgrade. Refer Security Guide for Cisco Unified ICM/Contact
Center Enterprise Release 12.0(1) for details on the CiscoCertUtil
tool.
Note:

In
Windows Server 2016, Windows Defender might interrupt CCE 12.0(1) ES uninstall.
CCE 12.0(1) ES uninstall can be re-attempted after disabling Windows
Defender.
· Remove patches in the reverse order of their installation. For example, if you installed patches 3, then 5, then 10 for a product, you must uninstall patches 10, 5, and 3, in that order, to remove the patches from that product.
