New Features for Cisco Smart PHY and Cisco Operations Hub 24.1.1

Feature Description

Infrastructure and Deployment Enhancements

Single NIC for NB and SB communication for Multi-node cluster

You can optionally deploy an All in one (AIO) or Multi-node cluster with a single vNIC.

RPD Provisioning

MAC Domain Split and US Bonding Group Enhancements

In this release, we have updated the MAC Domain Split functionality in Smart PHY. The Modification affects the validations for US Bonding Groups in a Service Group Profile, where additional validations for US Channels are included in Service Group Profile.

We have upgraded the Embedded NSO version to 6.1.8.

Feature Description

Infrastructure and Deployment Enhancements

Auto Deployer User Interface Enhancements

You can use guided flows in the Operations Hub Deployer GUI to:

  • Install a new cluster.

  • Upgrade, patch, and provision NIC on existing clusters.

  • Validate a cluster configuration file before using it.

General Upgrades

We have included multiple Security patches, upgraded 3rd party components and upgraded the Grafana version to 9.2.20.

RPD Provisioning and NSO Enhancements

Support for 2x4 RPD

Cisco Smart PHY supports 2x4 RPD configurations in addition to 1x1, 1x2, and 2x2 RPD configurations.

Support for Using a Wildcard Character in the RPD Vendor and RPD Model Names

  • When you create an SSD Profile, you can use a Wildcard character when you input the RPD Vendor and RPD Model names.

  • File Path in SSD profiles is supported.

NTF-ERR Support

Smart PHY can handle Error Notifications from RPD. Smart PHY adhers to CableLab specifications.

Enhancements for RPD Config Push Errors

In this release, we have enabled:

  • Easier identification of RPD Config Push errors.

  • Enhanced retry mechanism for Config Push Errors.

NSO Enhancements

We have upgraded the Embedded NSO version to 6.1.6.

Reconciliation Enhancements

cBR-8 Configuration Reconciliation Logic Enhancements

Smart PHY’s cBR-8 configuration reconciliation logic is enhanced. You can trigger reconciliation for multiple cBR-8 simultaneously and perform reconciliation on one or more selected RPDs for a cBR-8 router. You can also reconcile 2x4 RPDs.

Reconciliation Reporting Enhancements

We have added enhanced reporting functionalities to review deviation and reconciliation actions offline.
