Usage guidelines and limitations for TI-LFA
Guidelines
-
IGP directly programs a TI-LFA backup path requiring 3 or fewer labels, including the label of the protected destination prefix.
Limitations
-
The platform does not support programming of TI-LFA backup paths requiring more than 3 labels.
These limitations apply to TI-LFA starting Cisco IOS XR Release 24.4.1:
-
TI-LFA includes zero-segment and single-segment backup paths but does not include double-segment backup path.
-
TI-LFA bundles with multiple members may experience convergence time exceeding 50 milliseconds during Fast Reroute (FRR) switchovers.
