- Required Versions of Cisco Host Upgrade Utility and Cisco UCS Server Software
Cisco Nexus Cloud Services Platform Software Release Information for VSBs
Table 1 lists the Virtual Service Blade (VSB) software included with the Cisco Nexus Cloud Services Platform, and the minimum required software version.
Note Virtual Security Gateway VSBs are available in various form factors on the Cisco Nexus Cloud Services Platform. For more information on defining form factors, see the Cisco Nexus Cloud Services Platform Software Configuration Guide.
Cisco Nexus Cloud Services Platform Weighting Matrix
Table 3 lists the available resources required on the Cisco Nexus Cloud Services Platform, excluding the mandatory resources required for N1110 or N1010 Manager.
Table 3 Available Resources on the Cisco Nexus Cloud Services Platform, Excluding the Mandatory Resources Required for N1110/N1010 Manager
Note ● All Cisco Nexus Cloud Services Platforms have 6 x 1 G ports. A 1 G port can be a shared port or a dedicated pass-through port.
- On a Cisco Nexus Cloud Services Platform, you can use a maximum of 4 x 1 G ports as dedicated pass-through ports, and a minimum of 2 x 1 G ports for shared traffic. If no pass-through ports are used, you can use a maximum of 6 x 1 G ports for shared traffic. For example, if 2 x 1 G ports are used as dedicated pass-through ports, they cannot be used as shared 1 G ports. Now the total available 1 G shared ports is 4 (6 – 2 = 4).
- The Cisco Nexus 1110-X has two additional ports enabled for the 10 G interface. For more information about enabling the 10 G card on the Cisco Nexus Cloud Services Platform, see the Cisco Nexus Cloud Services Platform Software Configuration Guide.
Table 4 lists the resource consumption per VSB on the Cisco Nexus Cloud Services Platform. See the Cisco Nexus Cloud Services Platform Software Configuration Guide for more information on VSBs.
Note VSG (small) is not available on the Cisco Nexus Cloud Services Platform.
You can add the supported VSBs to the Cisco Nexus Cloud Services Platform, based on the resource consumption of each VSB, as long as the VSBs’ total resource requirements do not exceed the available resources. See the following examples.

Table 7 shows the product IDs of the Cisco Nexus Cloud Services Platform product family.
Required Versions of Cisco Host Upgrade Utility and Cisco UCS Server Software
Table 8 shows the Cisco Host Upgrade Utility (HUU) versions required to update CIMC, BIOS, and other hardware components, and the Cisco UCS server software on the Cisco Nexus Cloud Services Platform hardware.
The Cisco HUU is a tool that you can use to upgrade the firmware on one or multiple Cisco UCS C-series servers. The HUU detects the current version of all required hardware components and guides you to upgrade them.
Note We recommend that you upgrade the firmware by using the Cisco Host Upgrade Utility. Failure to do so might result in network setup failure or system reboots. When using the HUU upgrade menu, choose the option to upgrade the CIMC, BIOS, and all other components of the hardware. For more information, see the Cisco Nexus Cloud Services Platform Software Installation and Upgrade Guide.
