This document describes system requirements, new hardware features, ISO image components and links to VMware download and upgrade documentation pages for the VMware installable Cisco custom ISO images for the following releases: ESXi 6.0, ESXi 5.5, ESXi 5.5 U1, and ESXi 5.5 U2; ESXi 5.1, ESXi 5.1 U1, and ESXi 5.1 U2; ESXi 5.0, ESXi 5.0 U2, and ESXi 5.0 U3; and ESXi 4.1 U3.

The VMware installable Cisco ISO Image provides an installable ESXi ISO image that includes Cisco and 3rd party drivers necessary for Cisco UCS blade and rack servers.

Cisco custom images for ESX releases are meant only for ESX installation and may not contain the latest drivers. After installation, the drivers supported with the corresponding firmware should be installed from the Cisco UCS driver CD.

For information on supported drivers, please refer to the Cisco UCS Hardware and Software Interoperability Matrix listed in the “Related Documentation” section.
