Overview
Authorized Resellers under Cisco’s SLED Direct Contracts are only permitted to perform limited Partner Professional Services as described below.
Basic Installation and Configuration (BI&C)

Basic Installation and Configuration (BI&C) or “rack and stack” Partner Services as detailed in above bullets must include a comprehensive detailed description of services (Quote, SOW, etc.) to be delivered in connection with any Cisco hardware and software purchased. Unless there is a contract restriction, BI&C services can be sold separately from hardware/software but must be performed only on Cisco products/services..
BI&C Rates
BI&C is quoted as a Not to Exceed (NTE) hourly rate and the customer quote must show the number of hours and rate per hour along with the details of BI&C services being provided.
- The rates can be found in the contract.
The intent of the contracts concerning the limited partner services (BI&C) is not to have a prepaid block of services.
- Any BI&C partner services sold should have details on specifically what services are being offered to specific Cisco hardware/software and an hourly rate.
- These details should be provided on the customer quote/SOW.
- This applies to all of Cisco’s SLED Direct Contracts except OH STS #534612 and Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) #7365172JC.
Partners should consult the allowable Basic Installation & Configuration (BI&C) services list above in reference to services requested for a given project under a contract. Using their published NTE rates or contract-specific BI&C SKUs, Partners may quote the level of expertise they believe is required to provide the requested BI&C services.
Reporting BI&C Services
All BI&C ordered under a contract needs to be reported as “Basic Install and Config” or for NYS using the Partner Service SKUs listed under Lot 4 of the contract pricelist on the monthly or quarterly reports, with the hours invoiced in the quantity and the total amount per hour. Any applicable contract fees will apply to BI&C services sold under a Cisco SLED Direct Contract.
Out of Scope Services
Other Partner Professional Services that fall outside of the Basic Install and Config services listed above may not be sold under any of Cisco’s SLED direct contracts. Partner Professional Services that go beyond BI&C must be sold on a different PO through a different vehicle.
Partner Managed Services
Cisco does not allow partners to sell any managed services or post-implementation ongoing services under our direct contracts as partners are restricted to the above BI&C services only. Cisco only allows BI&C of Cisco products and services.
