Feature Description

Important

The Support for Duplicate New Call (Duplicate Call Accept) is an existing feature that is supported in the non-CUPS architecture. With this release, the feature is qualified in the CUPS architecture.

The feature enables new call connections when the UE is not able to gracefully disconnect from the Enterprise PDN before attempting to reconnect through other access method. In other words, the Control Plane validates the allocated IP address with the IP address that is used by other subscriber in Control Plane, so that the P-GW Control Plane can release the stale session locally and from respective User Plane.

As part of this feature, the following CLI command is supported in CUPS:

newcall { duplicate-subscriber-requested-address | duplicate-subscriber-requested-v6-address } { accept | reject }

Limitations

The IPv4v6 static allocation does not work in the CUPS architecture and so, the same limitation applies to this feature as well.
