Basic Setting : Cisco Services Setup


You use this page to update the firmware. You can perform the update by browsing to a local drive or by using FTP to update the firmware from a file server.

Settings

Manage Installation Keys -- Use this link to read specifications of the software license and to install a new license.

Manage System Configuration -- Use this link to restart the device, download a configuration file, or reset settings to factory defaults.

Distribute Configuration to other Cisco Devices -- Use this link to send the device's configuration to other Cisco Aironet devices on your network.

Distribute Firmware to other Cisco Devices -- Use this link to send a new firmware version to other Cisco Aironet devices on your network.

Hot Standby Management -- Use this link to set up the standby device.

Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP) -- Use this link to adjust the device's CDP settings.

Fully Update Firmware

These are links to alternative ways for reading and updating system firmware, radio firmware, and web pages, all in one step.

Through Browser -- With this method, you browse your hard drive or mapped network drives to find the desired firmware and web page files, and update all the firmware components at the same time.
From File Server -- With this method, you enter named file information to update all the firmware components at the same time.

Selectively Update Firmware

These are links to alternative ways for reading and updating system firmware, radio firmware, and web pages. You can update the four firmware components (the management system firmware, firmware web pages, and radio firmware for both radios) individually or all at once.

Through Browser -- With this method, you to browse your hard drive or mapped network drives to find the desired firmware and web page files, and update firmware components individually.

From File Server -- With this method, you enter named file information to update firmware components individually.

Locate Unit by Flashing LEDs

Select Enabled and click Apply. The bridge's top panel indicators blink in unison. You must select Disabled and click Apply to make the indicators stop blinking and return to normal operation.

Command Description
Apply After entering new values for settings, click Apply to activate the new settings. The browser remains on this page.
OK This button both applies the new settings and moves the browser back to the previous page.
Cancel This button cancels all changes to the settings, returns the settings to the previously stored values, and redirects the use back to the previous stored entries.
Restore Defaults Click to change all settings on this page back to the factory default settings.
