Overview

The Cisco Digital Media System (DMS) is a set of software applications that help enable effective management and delivery of live and on-demand video over the network to any audience. Taking Cisco's best practices from more than ten years of video and Internet initiatives, Cisco DMS can deliver digital media to customers, employees, students, and other audiences to help improve customer intimacy, productivity, learning, and information sharing.

Intended Audience

The intended audience for this document are content authors/publishers who will be using the Cisco Digital Media Manager to publish media to the Cisco Video Portal. This document is not meant for systems or network administrators to install, configure, or troubleshoot this product. Refer to the Cisco Documentation web site for additional documents at www.cisco.com.

This publication uses the following conventions to convey instructions and information.

Keywords or arguments that appear within square brackets are optional.

A choice of required keywords appears in braces separated by vertical bars. You must select one.

Nonprinting characters, for example passwords, appear in angle brackets in contexts where italic font is not available.
